About Me

So, who is this mysterious Dave/DopyIII person? For starters, I'm a geek and a software engineer (not a programmer - an actual engineer doing real engineering). Here's a summary of my experience and why I think my opinion should matter (roughly chronologically listed).

1. Served as a missionary for the LDS church in Uruguay from 1994 to 1996.
   
2. Graduate of Utah State University with a B.S. in Psychology/Spanish.
3. 2 1/2 years technical support experience with Microsoft Technical Support services (at a call center).
4. 1 year experience assisting in UVSC's business labs (helping business students figure out how to do all this fancy computer stuff like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Windows, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and web development).
5. 1 year experience at Novell in their System Test department.
6. Graduate of Utah Valley State College (now Utah Valley University) with an ABET accredited B.S. in Computer Science (emph. Software Engineering).
7. Software engineer since 2005.
8. Finishing an MBA from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in fall 2009.
9. Currently ranked (was #4, but updated as of 6/2/2008) #3 all-time Word expert at Experts-exchange.com

I hope this gives you some insight to my experience. Contact me if you really feel like you need to (worst thing that can happen is that I ignore you, right?).
